Merry Catastrophe at Siena on Federal Hill [New Addendum to Post]

Several of you may remember my post asking for suggestions on where to take a group for a holiday meal. I thank those who took the time to make recommendations. I'll try to get to your recommended restaurants in the future, but for this meal I took the advice of a local chef for whom I have the greatest respect.

It's not my style to write poor reviews of a restaurant; I'd prefer to ignore bad experiences and… Continue

Naked Brunch

Loie Fuller's just started serving Sunday brunch from 10am-3pm every week. I'll probably regret spreading the word about this since I went with friends this week and there was no line (like you find at Nick's and Julian's) and practically no one there at all, but I can't keep my mouth shut. Holiday dinner...where to go?

Does anyone have suggestions on where to take a small group of five for a holiday dinner?

We're looking for a warm, intimate restaurant that won't completely break the bank and takes reservations on a Friday night in December.

Great pic Mr. Ritz!
How was Connect Providence last nite? Jim was in Boston on business, so no babysitter!!! Sad to have missed it. Can't believe Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner. can't wait to head down to El Rancho Grande. Actually might be going there for dinner tomorrow night with some good friends from Cali...What time is the best time to get a table for 6?

Mr. Ritz, Welcome to the palate. I think I will have to go to El Rancho Grande. I am sorry to say that I have never been. We look forward to hearing more about your food thoughts. Best, Seth & Rich

Our goal was not to create another place for people to get hit with a one way information flow, but to start a dynamic, group conversation about food culture in Rhode island by all who are passionate about it. Bon Appetite
