Four of us enjoyed your tasting menu this past Saturday. Aside from the inventive presentation, the food was really yummy. The soft shell crab, white asparagus soup, lamb, and beef were done to perfection. We started with a bottle of Lois GV and continued with a bottle of red from Washington state (I'm having a senior moment and cannot recall the name). All was great, though. Thank you.
Bill Easton dinner was awesome. Fava angliotti was insane. As it turned out, Bill was our first customer for sandwiches today. Then we got shut down by our lovely city. Will be re-opened soon!
OK let's get it out of the way right now -- my wife is Susie as in the Susan at Gracie's. But Chef Joe's raw fish, raw buffalo, raw anything is simply, in a word, incredible. And the man knows how to cook with an intense passion that is startling to watch. Plus he's one funny dude. Oh, and he's absolutely right about Nick's for breakfast.
