Hey I heard that Joe isn't at Gracies anymore... does anyone know where he went? Will Gracies be the same without him?

I have eaten at Louie Fuller's more times than i can count. I have out of town guests whose first choice is Louie Fuller's. We have yet to be disappointed by a meal or service...whether at the bar or at table. We have tried a variety of entrees [ th…

I think the draw of Loie Fuller is that they served more upscale food but not as pricey as other restaurants.... I think you should give them another shot. I've had some good meals there. I went there this past Thursday and also ordered the ravioli…

Mmm, i do love the gyoza at Ebisu.
October 26, 2009
Matthew, I think the gyoza at Ebisu is excellent. And from what I've heard, I'm definitely not alone in thinking so.

Have you found a decent gyoza place since this post? I'll be looking out myself and will let you know if I find some. I used to live in Utsunomiya which is Japan's gyoza capital. Now that the cold weather is arriving here in Providence, I'm having a…

Loie Fuller.... FAIL!

1455 Westminster Street, Providence
Date of Visit: Saturday October 17th
Website: www.loiefullers.com
Price: $$$$

Loie Fuller is a beautiful restaurant that serves what seems to be upscale American food. We’ve heard wonderful things about it and were excited to try it!

We didn’t decide to go out to eat until 8:10, so we arrived at 8:20 on a Saturday night. We were told that a few tables were finishing dinner and that if they didn’t have dessert we’d be… Continue

Ebisu Japanese Restaurant (Part II)

38 Pontiac Avenue, Providence
Date of Visit: Wednesday October 21
Website: www.ebisuri.com
Price: $$

Ebisu is a Japanese restaurant, but not a sushi restaurant; they serve Yakitori (meat on a stick!), noodles and Shabu Shabu, which is “a Japanese variety of hot pot. The dish is prepared by submerging a very thin slice of meat or vegetable in a pot of boiling dashi (broth) and swishing it back and forth several times.”

We were there back in January, so afte… Continue

My life of Sin blog...

I don't know if any of you are interested in this, but I've started a cake blog about my business. If you're interested in seeing some cake that aren't usually posted to the website and occasionally listening to me rant about owning a small business then check it out... it's

2 Reviews in a Minute...

There’s been so much written about these 2 restaurants that I don’t feel the need to go into detail about them.

Gracie’s – Went there for the first time this week with my in-laws. Excellent!! Pricy, but so worth it. The attention to detail is impressive as is the little extras… a single bite app (amuse bouche?? Yes, I watch Top Chef), sorbet between courses, cute little cookies at the end… And of course the main course were so, so good. Amazing. We’ll definitely go back and will recommend.

Ras… Continue

Ebisu Restaurant Review Part I

Ebisu Japanese Restaurant (Part I)
38 Pontiac Avenue, Providence
Date of Visit: Saturday January 17,2009
Website: www.ebisuri.com
Price: $$

(This post is very biased. My husband and I went to Japan a few months ago and ate the most incredible meals! The food there was fantastic! So, it will be very hard for any local Japanese/Sushi type restaurants to live up to that experience. )

Ebisu is a Japanese restaurant, but not a sushi restaurant; they serve Yakito… Continue

Of Course I make cupcakes! All kinds, all flavors, all fillings... my current obsessions are the chocolate chip cake/cupcake (it taste just like a chocolate chip cookie and I'm a cookie fanatic) and the red velvet with cookies and cream filling!
