Hey, thanks!

I'll second the Ivy. The portion was way too much for me to eat in a sitting, but the batter was light and flavorful and the fish was moist and tasty.

My husband has had great success with a basic vanilla ice cream from David Lebovitz' The Perfect Scoop. It retains a lovely, creamy texture for a couple of weeks (I don't have much of a sweet tooth so it gets consumed slowly). I don't know if the i…

That's great. I have not read enough Beard - I'll need to seek this out. I just picked up Righteous Porkchop from the library. Haven't started it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'll second the salads for sure. Basically, there's a whole sequence of things I wait for and, upon their arrival, eat as much of as I can bear. First it was peas, then green garlic, now I'm in full-on fava bean mode and enjoying the first of the gr…

Jennifer, Rich told me to take a look at your blog. I love it. Used to live in Tribeca & Brooklyn. Moved here six years ago. A bit of a shock at the beginning but I have to say I love it. Please share your food thoughts on the site as well as any outstanding recipes. We are working on a recipes page and will put it up as soon as I get a moment from my real j o b, my family and this beautiful weather. As Rich said, Welcome and feel free to touch base with me about anything. Best, Seth

Jennifer. Definitely touch base about any questions at all about the city, or life in RI. I grew up here, left for 20 years now back. And while I am not a lawyer coddler, I love lawyer minds. i do al the legal work for our company, and I am a writer, and I have really come to respect the way a good lawyer's mind works! See in PVD. You are coming at the PERFECT time of year. Spring and summer are glorious up here.

Our goal was not to create another place for people to get hit with a one way information flow, but to start a dynamic, group conversation about food culture in Rhode island by all who are passionate about it. Bon Appetite
