That is why I am so interested in FarmFreshRI. Rhode Island needs to build infrastructure to support our farmers. My brother and I were exporting specialty foods, mainly to Northeast Asia, in the late 80s. We had one client in Italy who bought containers of live lobster from us for sale to restaurants - quite a challenge!

In terms of developing links to the local economies, perhaps Seth and I could meet and brainstorm with you at some point? We want to use this as a tool to strengthen what is already a fundamental strength about Rhode Island - food culture. I have some ideas and would love to hear others.
